Sweden: Record month for asylum seekers

The number of asylum seekers coming to Sweden has reached its highest point in 14 years, Sydsvenskan reports.

Half of the 3,475 asylum seekers who made their way to Sweden in October came from Iraq.

The monthly total is the highest since the early 1990s, when Sweden took in many refugees from the war in the former Yugoslavia.
